What is airlaid paper?
Airlaid paper is also called dust free paper. Dry papermaking is compared to traditional wet papermaking. Traditional wet papermaking disperses (pulp) fibers into water and then filters them with a paper forming mesh to form paper sheets. Dry papermaking does not use water, but uses pulp. The air-laid method uses air as a carrier to evenly spread the broken wood pulp fibers or synthetic fibers on the forming mesh. Use heat or emulsion to fix wood pulp fibers or synthetic fibers into fluffy dry sheet materials with a density of more than 0.04g/㎤. Because it has not gone through the process of water absorption, swelling and syneresis, dry-laid paper products have high bulk, good softness, high liquid absorption capacity, and have an appearance similar to paper and similar performance and feel to cloth.
